The Wife and I have decided to quit our jobs and travel the country for the next year. The reason this is sort-of a big deal is because we are only 26 and have limited funds to do so. BUT, we said what-the-heck, why not.

We will be posting regularly on Youtube and I will do my best to post those updates and more right here for your viewing pleasure since we are traveling in our wonderful 2010 R-Pod 171 . We just got the first video posted today - the intro.

If you like what you see, subscribe, Like, and share! It just might help us complete this crazy journey! ;)

Good luck!

Just a small suggestion...

Don't limit yourselves to a year! You never know where your journey might take you.

I was a little older (28) when I took off on my great adventure with a lot less money. Of course, it was 1981 and it was a sailboat. It's been one life changing adventure after the next ever since.

Oh, and don't forget to call your mother!! Big smile

Have fun!

Wow.  Sounds great.  Did something like that many years ago and backpacked thru Europe.  Came back with a wife.  Have a great time.  Safe Travels.

Good luck in your travels, I wish I had the intestinal fortitude to do something like that and I'm retired!

Just a small suggestion - if you are stopped in an area for several days with a FR dealer, you might want to the the factory recall light bar put on your trailer.

Good Luck and have fun. Also would suggest you get the clearance lights installed on your Pod.

Welcome.  A childhood friend of mine did that with his wife and kids in an RV.  They even made onto the Ricki Lake show because of their travels.  They work remotely for some income and live as green as possible (they use biodiesel in the RV).

You did a great job on the video. With that kind of video editing skill I'm looking forward to seeing some of the places you go. Did you say you plan to be on the trip for a year? What if the Pod hatches kids?

Thanks for all the great comments!

We actually tried to get that recall work done right before we left at a local dealer, but they drug their feet and we never ended up getting it completed. I'm sure that we will be getting it done as soon as we are near a dealer. Will be in Nashville soon, maybe then! Will be looking into installing a solar panel very soon.

As far as traveling for 1 year, that is just our first big goal. At 1 year's time we will re-evaluate and go from there... who knows where we will end up!

Will be posting a new video soon, mainly the very beginnings of our trip. Stay tuned. :)

P.S. - OH, if the POD hatches kids... haha, well then so be it... gotta roll with the punches! We are in for adventure, but let's hope that doesn't happen for a while. ;)

This week's video is up. It's a longer video, but we had to cover 2 months worth of planning.

Trip Preparations

This includes some of our favorite family reactions. My dad wasn't quite as excited as we were, lol. 😃
