Hi everybody! I am trying to find a BLACK vinyl 20 pound propane tank cover. I can't seem to find it. I found white vinyl covers. And tons of black plastic/hard covers. But I do not want either of those. I have seen the black vinyl tank cover on other Roods so I know they exist. I have tried EBay, PPL, Camping World, Academy, and the general Google sites. Anyone have a black vinyl (soft) propane cover? Where did you purchase it? Thanks so much fellow Podder's!

I looked and could not find black either. CW lists a gray cover on their web site. Bought one. Looks good on our dark gray camper.

Did you try calling Forest River's parts department to see if you could get one from them? My R-Pod came with a black one. They may be able to tell you who their supplier might be.

My RP177 came with a black tank cover from Blue dog rv in Post Falls, Id when I purchased it there a year ago Jan. 2014.  Their parts dept number is 208-773-7878.    Give them a call and see if they have more.  They don't show them in their catalog that I have.   Mine is a black vinyl cover with velcro closure.

My unit came from Couch's RV Nation in Hamilton, OH. You might give their parts department a call. Their number is 1-888-417-8299.

If you or someone you know is the least little bit handy with a sewing machine, you can build one out of nylon cloth for next to nothing.  Just a thought......

Hey, Sceide!
Did you happen to find a propane tank cover? As it turns out, I just happen to have an extra (one left over from my trade-in, I guess). It's a very dark green, but I have an identical black one on my pod. Only problem is that they are both emblazoned in large white letters with the name and contact of my dealer! (McPhails of Harriston, ON, CA). So, I think these are something that the dealers drum up and may be hard to find commercially.

Any interest? I sure don't need two! Where are you located? Give me a contact and I'll send some pics if you wish.

Best!

Look underneath for clips. It should lift off although you might have to twist is around a bit so the molded in indents clear the tank's brackets. When my vinyl cover wore out, I bought a plastic cover to use instead. I use a bungee cord underneath to hold it, although it probably isn't needed.
