Good to hear. I just got done wiring the tow vehicle for trailer brakes (no tow package on our Durango, and our old popup didn't have brakes). Heading for Omaha on Monday, doing the paperwork and walk-through Tuesday morning, and turning around and driving straight back to Colorado that day. It will be a long couple of days, but I can't wait! Unfortunately, I'll be going solo since my wife can't get Tuesday off.

I just picked our 178 up yesterday from AC Nelsen, drove about 5 hours from the Joplin, MO area. I had a great experience: very friendly, efficient and no pressure to purchase extended warranties, starter kits, etc. Was told these things were available but no pressure whatsoever.
In talking with our salesman, he said they were a high volume dealer and have buyers from all over the US. Not that I didn't believe him, but it's nice to see some others that have made the trip to Omaha.
I hope your pickup goes as well as ours did! |
Good to hear, miko. I'm going to be driving to Omaha next week to get it. Can't wait!

We are planning to pull the trigger on a 177 tomorrow. You say you picked it up in Omaha, so I assume you purchased it at AC Nelsen, which is where we are getting ours. Like you, we live in Colorado.
What was your experience with this dealer? I tried purchasing a 177 from Grand Junction as well as Denver, and neither could come within $6,000 of AC Nelsen, so it looks like I'll be driving east.
The other thing that saves us money as Coloradans purchasing in Nebraska is that we only have to pay the 2.9% state sales tax when we register them, as opposed to paying the county and local sales taxes. Seems pretty dumb on the state's part, since it encourages buying big-ticket items in other states, but I'm not complaining!
