Has anyone done any mods to make the dinette bed actually useful?  I love our 179 but the dinette is such a horrible design. The engineer should be ashamed!  Lol

I agree.  It is near useless.   I am redoing ours, I was really lucky as I have an old toyhauler with a single hinged cushion set that completely replaces the 179 multi cushion setup.    Pics will follow when I get time- busy prepping for a 4 week to infinity trip right now.

Also agree, we have only used the bed once and the cushions fell off during the night Ouch  Question do you strap your table to the sofa to travel?? The dealer told us to just set it on the big bed??

Naah we threw it upside down on the bed when we used it....we are redoing ours and are not planning on using the table, we have a LifeTime smaller folding table we will be using instead.  In place of the factory table I cut a piece of 3/4 plywood that slides back under the cushion when not in bed config and lays across the end parts to be the bed frame..

BTW the Lifetime table probably weighs 1/3 of the r-pod table..
