Hello folks,
First time went out with the family in our 176T. Oh boy it could get really cold at night in Niagara county NY, heat was a must.

We really enjoyed the pod.  However, there was one thing I didn't like the constant loud blower from the roof A/C.  Why in the world the engineer configured this way? I've had other campers before and none of them ever had this kind of set up. They were all independent from the roof A/C unit.  I'd like to defeat this feature if possible, the constant loud blowing vent from the A/C unit really bothers me.

So, my question for you folks is. Is there a way I can use the furnace without the roof A/C vent blowing like mad?

Yes there is. Set the thermostat to auto, not high or low. Don't ask why. It's unknowable Smile.

I'm not sure why your A/C unit even comes on unless you have the auxiliary heat strip.  That is probably a good thing for when you have electric hookups but not for much else.

Anyway, my furnace is a mostly independent device.  It uses the same thermostat as the A/C.  I haven't done a scientific analysis, but for most practical purposes the furnace blower is about as loud as the A/C.  It will wake you up when it comes on.  It doesn't stay on long, but there is no doubt when it's on.

Hi Charlie,
Thank you for the quick response but I bought mine used and just realized the dawn thing came from Canada. I don't see a thermostat anywhere in the camper except for this digital controller on the wall to activate FAN, Air Condition and Furnace.

I think I'm screwed.

That digital thing IS the thermostat. The fan setting will have the option of high, low, or auto. Set it to auto. Nothing to do with our good friends to the north Smile

You're right. Nothing wrong with our good friends from the North borderBig smile.  But for the life of me I can't seem to know, how to find the option to set the Fan to High, Low or Auto.  When I hit the MODE button it keeps cycling from Fan, A/C, Furnace or ON/OFF.

Do you think I should enter the Fan option then maybe in that menu there will be an option for me to set the Fan Mode?  Thank you sir.

We use a small ceramic electric heater. It's quieter.
