We have a 2104 181G.  We have been plugged in at home for several weeks with no problems.  Today I went out to "get ready" for our camping trip this week and found there was no power to the refrigerator and the overhead lights.  

All outlets (in and out) seem to be working fine.  Also the microwave is working - at least the clock is.  

I have already:

1.  Checked breakers
2.  Checked fuses
3.  Checked where the refrigerator is plugged in through the outside panel.

Any other ideas?

The refrigerator must have 12v power to run- even on AC, IIRC.
The overhead lights are also 12V.

Do other 12V items work-   water pump?  heater fan?

No.  None of those are working.  I did not check them at all since we've been parked at home, but I  know the refrigerator worked and I had disconnected the battery when we got home, so I know it was not running off the battery.

The power converter and 12 volt system are protected from battery reversal by two large ATC "Littlefuse" type 257 fuses in the converter panel. If the battery was ever connected backwards, even for an instant, one or both of these fuses will be blown. Ergo no 12V.  FR's color coding on the battery cables is confusing so that's possible. Remove them and check with an Ohmmeter or continuity tester.

Have you been "plugged in for several weeks" with the battery disconnected?
Is it connected now?

Will I be able to tell if I replace the fuses?  I don't have a reader or meter.

IF that was the problem and IF the battery is connected correctly now everything should return to normal. Any auto store should be able to check the fuses for you when you go to get new ones. It's best to check before installing new fuses to avoid a repeat performance or other event. Check to make sure the battery is properly connected before you try again.
Be sure to replace with the same value fuses. I think the originals were 30 or 40 Amp. Maybe someone who owns a Pod can confirm.

Lets hope it is just the reverse polarity protection fuses-   I was on that track also.
I am puzzled by the statement "has been plugged in for several weeks" followed by the battery was "removed".Confused
Personally I would not stay plugged in with the battery removed as it also acts as a filter on the DC bus.

Re: the FR color code on the battery wiring-  I agree it is confusing but it is the industry standard- always makes me think twice...almost everywhere else in the DC world black is ground- but NO not in the RV world- it is hot.Tongue

BTW the RPP fuses on mine are 40A

That was it.  I replaced the two 40 amp fuses and everything came back on!  Thank you all for your help.  

I got the fuses at an auto dealer.  They are ATC, but they were not sure what the 257 was.  Am I ok with what they gave me long term?

Yep, you're good to go. The fuses did what they were supposed to do. Be careful next time when you connect the battery.
