I have had my RP 177 for 2 years now and I love it! Recently the hose from the shower disconnected from the valve when water was moving through it. It seems that the hose screws into a valve (or vacuum breaker??? but I could have this wrong) and it is this valve that has popped out. Water passes through this piece and enters the shower hose. How is this valve supposed to be anchored in? The only thing I can see that may have been holding it down was caulking, but that does not sound right! There must have been something there, but I cannot find evidence of it.
I went to the Phoenix USA site to try and find the part that may give me more information and it looks like they call it a vacuum breaker? However, I cannot get information on how this is supposed to be anchored into the faucet. Anyone have any experience with this?
