Your point is well taken, Mark, and so is your observation about Florida!Smile

On a serious note, I spent 63 years in the Midwest before moving to Florida.

Ahhh, fresh mango daiquiris and other assorted blender sports. It's about this time of year I really do miss South Florida and the Bahamas...

carry on.

We had our r-pod for almost 5 years before we sold it to someone from New Jersey. I told him it has never been winterized and not sure how to go about it. I told him the r-pod owners forum would give him understanding of how to do it. Not only are the oranges good in south Florida but the bananas too, along with all the other tropical fruits.

A favorite stop:

25 years on SoFla before reverse migration. Might consider a reverse reverse migration if this winter doesn't end soon!! ;)

I am not sure how this thread got derailed so badly, but I may as well add to the off topic remarks.  I live only about 3 miles from the famous Indian River Lagoon, one of the best salt water fishing and shrimping areas in Florida.  Only our swimming pool separates our home from our backyard lake which has channel cats, bluegills and large-mouth bass up to 12 pounds.  I enjoy the fish as much as I do the citrus.

Meanwhile, back to the under-bed access in a 178.Smile

Sleepless, you had to go and mention fish! How about the sea trout and snook behind and around Sanibel and Captiva! And the Keys! OMG, the grouper and dolphin (mahi mahi) and snapper and bonefish and... yeah, I miss it.

OK, sigh,  underbed storage mod in 178. Locker mod opposite of water heater is for Sir Henry's (our cat) litter box. He doesn't eat fish - weird.

OK, my last post on fishing, maybe.  Last time I went deep sea fishing out of Port Canaveral I caught a 300 pound sea turtle.  A protected species, and I came back to port empty-handed. The turtle was released unharmed, but I was completely exhausted.

Fred, I have to study your underbed storage a little more.  I don't quite understand what I am seeing.

Sea turtles are great. I've seen many above and below the water and always admired them. Never caught one. In fact, Bob is our 21 year old Florida Cooter. A little smaller than a sea turtle, but still requires two hands to hold him. He's like a red eared slider without the red ears. Wife rescued him in North Miami beach when he was the size of a half-dollar. He's in a 40 gal tank now and seems to like it here in New Jersey. Turtles adapt well!

Sorry about the pic without explanation. I grabbed it from an earlier post: http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=842&KW=henry&PID=40428&title=list-your-mods#40428

For the people that helped me understand whats under my bed, thank you!! For the people that made me 1. want fresh oranges and mango daiquiris, 2. make me bemoan living in the Midwest YET AGAIN and 3. make me SO jealous of good fishing, tsk, tsk tsk.... ;-)
