Does anyone have a tutorial on how to wire a 12 volt power socket into my rpod? Can I wire it directly to a plug receptical? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe that I should be able to run my radio via an inverter if I have a 12 volt socket - am I wrong??? And would be able to charge my phone via the socket as well???
Thanks for your input.

I don't have a handy tutorial, but it's not hard if you have some electrical help. I added four 12 outlets to my 172. I'm not sure what you want to accomplish. Do you want to run 12V items from shore power when you're hooked up or are you looking to run devices from the 12V system when boondocking or just for convenience? 12V sockets can be added by connecting directly to an unused slot on the power converter, but DO NOT connect a 12V socket directly to a 120V receptacle. What type of radio do you ant to run and what are it's power requirements? The AM/FM CD/TV that comes with the POD or something else?

If you will clarify your needs there are plenty of folks here ready and able to help.

Thanks for your help. I just want to run the cd player/radio that comes in the unit. Maybe charge a cell phone. I have a compact inverter designed for vehicles to run computer, charge phones, etc. If I can wire in a power socket, than I could use that inverter to do what I think I need.
