From what ANGCHIEF posted in another thread, it looks like the Classic Accessories cover for the 178 is shipping. Classic Accessories 80-200-161001-00

So it looks like this is the long awaited 178 cover?

Thanks for your info. We are trying to figure which would fit best on 2013 178 model? Getting ready for winter weather. The trailer measures 16' 10" . The 20' seems like it would be too big for us, then there's an 18' plus size, and 16' 6' size from Classic A.
Does anyone know which is best for ours?
Thanks!

Replied to your mail you sent.  Still not sure where you measured 16' 10".

There are all the Rpod dimensions.  We'll get it straightened out for you though!

If you can wait a few weeks, I may be able to tell you for certain. I ordered Part #80-200-161001-00 from the Amazon link above and just received email that it will be delivered between 01/06/14 and 01/11/14.

We have a 178 and are probably going to look at the 18 plus size.

While our friend kymooses is correct that the official size of our trailer is 20' this includes the tongue, propane tanks and batteries.  So the 20 foot option probably won't work.

However, it is definately not going to fit the 16' 6" inch option.

(Our dealer actually doesn't cover their R-Pods even in our Canadian winter, so the idea of a cover may not be as good as we think)

Unless a 178 is shorter than a 181g.  And to my knowledge it's not, and I just measured my 181g just yesterday it's 20' "ish" like stated in the brochures.

I've never taken a measuring tape to a 178 though, but they are supposed to be the same as the 18xg series.

I've never covered mine.  I don't much see the point in it, but I don't exactly have lots of ice or hard snow here either.

From the PDF link above (fine print near bottom):

"*Fit dimensions include trailer and hitch, but product not designed to cover hitch."

I'm guessing that would indicate new part #80-200-161001-00 would be correct for 178.

Curiosity got the better of me so I went out and measured our 178.

By my calculation, the body is 17 feet long. The rear spare wheel and bar adds another foot. That should make the hitch with battery and propane tank 2 feet long (mine seemed to be closer to 3 feet).
