Ok, two different dealers told me otherwise. You'll know after a few years if they are right or wrong.

Without gelcoat, fiberglass is just.. well fiberglass.. don't have to wait years to find out. All I have to do is look at the trailer and see it's not bare fiberglass.

I don't believe there has ever been a fiberglass RV, boat or car in production that did not have a gel coat.  R-Pods are no different.  Thanks, furpod.

Back to the lock-   just got done replacing mine.   Would lock just fine, would unlock when it felt like it.
I do have to say Bauer has excellent customer service- called them and they shipped me a new one right out...included a prepaid shipping label to return the old one.

All that said-  I don't like the lock and would rather have the $200 or so they cost, probably cost FR way less than that though...
First it is just dumb to have a keypad without ALL the digits!  Just my opinion.
Second, since the original started acting up within weeks I'm not real confident in the replacement.
