What is the best way to lift the R Pod to change a flat tire?

I have not had to change a tire, but had to jack it up when I installed my riser kit.  Per the instructions, I placed the jack under the frame, just behind the wheel.

We have also had to jack up our 171 once and used a small floor jack on the frame just behind the wheel. Worked well.

WinkThe Lippert axle has two vertical splines on the rear side of the axle just inboard of the hub.  The jack should use these splines for lifting the axle.  Don't lift the axle on the round tube portion!

Thanks for the info. Any suggestions for what type of jack to carry while traveling.

The scissors jack for my TV works great.  A small floor jack might be better, but takes up valuable storage space.

I studied the jack problem and came to the conclusion that my factory jack in the Trailblazer will work perfectly if need and then I was able to remove a 20 lb hydraulic jack in the rear garage and save that much more weight. hopefully I will not have to use it.

I have a hydraulic bottle jack with me in the TV all the time anyway, so I expect that is what I will use if I need to.

Just on a side note.

Might want to make sure your TV jack will raise the POD enough.  You MAY have to carry some pieces of 2x6 for added lift.
