 I use a sway control, are saying it is s ok to back up with it on?

Yes, but loosen it first before backing up, otherwise you will probably bend the bar and you will also note that when you attempt to turn backing up, the pod will continue to stay straight and not turn.

Welcome to the group!! No, but I plan ahead and pack with that in mind so I keep the items I need within reach of the two side doors. Seems to work well, so far.

Thanks! I hadn't introduced myself yet, since I may or may not become an R-Pod owner. I travel with my dogs, so I have to be able to open my hatch. That may become a deal breaker. It doesn't have to even open all the way, LOL. Just enough to open crate doors and get them out. I have a 20015 Grand Caravan.

We added an electric tongue jack on our 179. The front comes closer to the rear of the van. If you keep the regular tongue jack you should be okay

With our Escape, if the car is lined up straight with the R-Pod, even with the electric jack I installed, I can open the hatch. However, if the car is at an angle, it will not open.
