Kermit, I think that is the most unique towing combination ever seen here.

Thanks.  This was a trial run before a big trip late this summer.  On these large 4 wheeling trips I like to tow the jeep there as well, just in case!  I wish my buddies trailer was about 4' longer, it would make loading and unloading a lot easier.  Beggars can't be choosers.

First time posting to the forum, but I have read many of the useful and informative tips that others have shared. Good stuff.

I have had my R-Pod since late Summer 2012. I put the axle risers on it, made a big improvement in scissor jack clearance. 2 batteries, marine battery switch, and I just bought a 30 pound propane tank (I ran out last year on Labor day weekend, and it was freezing and it snowed overnight....I learned...Also killed the one battery running the furnace).

Not in the picture, I also moved the spare tire to the A frame in front, and I am reinforcing the 1-1/4" Pod receiver by tying it into the 2 inch floor with brace plates and threaded stainless rod so it will take a true 2 bike carrier. I HATE BIKE ROOF RACKS!!! GAH!!! NO MORE!!!!

This picture of my 2013 R-Pod 177 is from a 2013 Mountain Bike festival NEMBAFEST 2013 in East Burke Vermont. (Actually I am parked at a Friendly's restaurant in MA but I took the pic because it was on the way to NembaFest )

My current DD and tow vehicle is a 2013 VW Touareg TDI. A bit overkill for towing the R-Pod but a MUCH better TV than my former 2003 4Runner.

After towing our 178 with our Jeep Wrangler Unlimited a few times we decided that while it worked, it did not make for a particularly comfortable long distance vehicle...so...we upgraded (or downgraded, depending on how much of a Jeep person you are) to this:
