I filled up with it when I was setting on empty.  I gained 4/10ths of a mileage gain.

Those with boats keep in mind that ethanol fuel is a bad idea. From my understanding ethanol is hydrophilic which means that it attracts moisture and will result in water forming in the gas tanks.

Seafoam or other fuel treatments may help with this but try to buy the real stuff if it is available when buying fuel for your boat.

I used 'regular-ethanol' gas for my ATV, boat motors, etc., until they all had to go into the shop for 'carb-adjustment' cleaning.  Every mechanic told me that a majority of gas line problems they worked on were directly caused by using ethanol.  I immediately began to use non-ethanol...all of my engines start quickly and I have never had a fuel line problem since then.  The $500 in repair/cleaning would have paid for a lot of 'hi-cost' non-ethanol gas.
I have found that a couple of my cars do not seem to get much better mileage from non-ethanol. But my TV pickup does. So when I tow my Pod, I use my calculator to determine if buying the more expensive non-ethanol is worth getting better mileage.
