Doc Tom, We live about an hour south of St. Louis. Just figured the mileage for the trip and it's right at 650 round trip. That's a lot of miles for a weekend trip. I would love to get together with other podders and get to know some of you, but I'm not sure it will be this Labor Day. :(

Oh come on.. What did you buy it for? to look at??

LOL.. what we do on those is to add a couple extra days on our own, in order to justify "the tow".

You will see lots of birds in Door County!  Not likely the Whoopers though.  Last time up we saw lots of swans and Pileated Woodpeckers,

Yes it is a long way. It takes us about 4 hours to get to my wife's mother' place in S. County (without towing). It would be a long trip, but lots of fun. If you ever do come through KC, PM me and perhaps we can meet up to say hi.

Thanks, Doc Tom. We'll take you up on that some day. So, it's the second day of spring and I'm leaving for work this morning. The temperature was 16 degrees. Our maiden voyage is supposed to be in two weeks. I'd better pack a winter coat. This is unusual for us this time of year and it's getting old. Just sayin'...Tongue

I understand, light snow and freezing rain coming down right now with a promise of 3-7 inches of snow tomorrow and Sunday. We were supposed to be leaving on our first outing in about 4 hours . . .
