First, let me clearly admit that the R-Pod as it is currently configured meetsevery reasonable standard for its designed market and price point.  We LOVE
our 177!

However, as a former video design engineer and inveterate tinkerer, I would
like to suggest that a few cable run conduits molded into the insulation during
manufacture would offer nerds like me an opportunity to really play with the
layout.

First, from the circuit breaker panel, (aka power distribution point), a run to the dinette area,
the bunk area, and the exterior, at least front, (r-dome), but maybe front and back.
Terminated in a 2-outlet box with blank cover.  This would be in addition to the duplex
AC outlet already provided on our 177.

Second, from the media center, wherever it is located, to the dinette area, the bunk area,
(n/a for the 177), and the r-dome.  Terminated in a four outlet box, weatherproofed if
outside.

The boxes would be empty, of course, until tinkered with!

What an opportunity to fill the bleak winter months with fun projects until the football
and basketball games start!

	Cooperdckey, you are right, it would be very inexpensive to put even pvc piping in during construction, as an old telecom tech, FCC license holder and a guy who worked days off installing key telephone systems in buildings as large as operating hospitals and then cut over during weekends, I have crawled, climbed and squirmed through some tough spots. It would be easy to put some easy pulls in during construction, mahy increae the cost maybe 15 or 20 bucks, but make it much easier to upgrade electronics and outside lighting.

	Lets face it: #1: RV Mfg can't be everything to all people. #2:You as a consumer have to make sure that the trailer you buy has what ever you want in it, or that you're able to mod. to your liking. You say you are a tinkerer, good for you, so therefore I say where there's a will there is a way. #3:If you buy, check the unit inside out more than once. Before I signed on the dotted line I knew more about the trailer than the guy that did the walk through with me. I have a 172, example: I pulled out all the drawers under the sink to see if I could move the electrical and the plumbing to one side and install full depth drawers, I also removed the horizontal spacers between the drawers to gain more room for an extra drawer. Therefore I say make changes and mods the way you want them and make the pod your own. Before After

	Part of the "problem" is that 99% of TT owners don't mod them. So the factory doesn't see a need. And I am sure.. as soon as some "modder" of dubious ability kills himself or family, the lawsuit(s) would revolve around the factory "permission" to hack you POD... "Well yes, Dave didn't know doodly about 'lectricity, but the factory put that there place to add wire.. and he was just doin' that when the flash happened.. It's FR's fault for leading him on... cHa-cHing..

	Your right on Furpod, Follow the money. the manufactor has to build a safe and stabil unit that will give x ammount of usefullness for the money, they cant be everything to everybody, and God forbid if something happens here comes the lawyers. As long as they build fairly safe units that meet Industry criteria with certification that helps insulate them from liability.

	I have to admit that you have an excellent point about the potential for mis-use and subsequent claims of liability. This is a litegeous old world we inhabit. Sorry that aspect evaded me. It never entered my mind. Guess I was raised differently.... PS- Nice drawers!

	nice job on the drawers. (I almost said your drawers) I can hardly wait till we can get our 177.
