Kitchen drain pipe rpod 177

   The last time we pulled in the galley slide-out, the drain pipe under the sink came off of the elbow.  Of course we didn't realize it and our power starting going off at the GFCI plug including the fridge.  The electric connection to the outside 30amp plug seemed OK, so we checked the water leak.  Leak!!  There was a lot of water under the sink (behind those little walls) and two wiring harnesses sitting in the water.  

My hubby dried out the compartment and the wiring.  There was enough slack in the wires to hang them up off the cabinet floor.  What a crazy way for FR to install the wiring harnesses so vulnerable to moisture from the plumbing!

We replaced some of the pvc pipe and removed the bracket that held it to the wall.  Now there is some "play" in the pipe assembly so it doesn't come apart after using the slide-out.  And, of course, the wires are out of the way of any potential leaks.

	This is a common problem with the 177. Make sure your faucet hoses are tight also. We had two floods and kept the panels off until after our third week out. The serviceman at he dealer explained how he drain line from the sink needs to swivel when the slide goes in and out. Enjoy!

	Any idea if this is something to expect from other "slide" models? Like my 176T, for example?

	Was getting my 182G ready for tailgating. While cleaning the kitchen noticed that every drop of water that went down the sink drain wound up on the floor. After cursing and mopping, found that the fitting that connects the flexible tube to the ABS sink drain broke. Replaced the plastic T fittting with a rubber one that seems to flex enough to keep from being a problem again. It's held on with hose clamps so hopefully the worst thing I'll have to do is put it back on if it pops off somehow. To Harley's friends, good idea about re-routing the wiring. Will have to go back and take care of that. If there's not enough wire to move it like you did, I'll put it up on blocks to keep it out of the puddle.
