LED bulbs was the topic of a recent podmod thread, which led me to some Googling on the topic.  That turned up the idea of replacing the bulb with an entire fixture of LEDs.  It looks interesting and I'm wondering if anyone here knows more or has a recommendation.

I have changed a bunch of the bulbs out inside the pod with led panels I bought off of ebay. If you want to have a look, search ebay for 24 smd led panels, they cost about $3 each (shipped from overseas). They have adapters that plug right into the light and attach with double sided tape.

Yes you are right, there are lots of people offering the LED panels. There are also some with 36 LED which I used. Pick wisely some have cheaper shipping rates.

I'd recommend wiping the area where you want to stick them down with some alcohol and let it dry before placing the LEDs.

Otherwise this is a simple and effective mod. Good luck
