The Pugmobile is 2012 - 177. Haven't been camping in over 30 years..nice to have a couple of feet between my back and the stones and roots under the tent floor.

Our present unit is in the signature block. We bought a RP 171 in 2010 and used it for one season and towed it for over 20 000 km all across Canada. Unfortunately the unit developed a major problem and since we had been unhappy with the wet bath and the climbing over each other in the midde of the night we traded the unit for one with a dry bath and a walkaround queen bed.

While we had the Pod it was a lot of fun and served us reasonable well but as more birthdays pile up........well some of you know that story as well. Big smile

We wish everyone a fun and safe upcomming camping season.

Finally made a purchase last weekend of the 171.  Lots of headscratching but I think, for us, we made the right decision.  Did purchase a replacement mattress even before we take delivery at the end of April.  Also had a custom version, no tv, no entertainment center.  We enjoy reading in the great outdoors.  Haven't  seen much news on the TV lately that makes me want to watch more of while vacationing.  In any event, the waiting is killing me.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S Thumbs Up Camper Bob !   You will enjoy your new 171 !  We as well "special ordered" our 177 in January 2011; no A/C, no entertainment center, no microwave.  We normally dry camp so w/o electricity, we couldn't use those items anyway.  And Yes, totally in agreement with you on the liberal news bias media anyway - not too much to write home about.  We get nearly all of our news on the internet at Jerusalem World Report - great conservative reporting!  Quite a refreshing break from what you normally hear.
You are way ahead of us on the mattress however, good for you.  We 'endured' our for the first 6 months and finally last fall got one of those "mattress in a box" from camper world.  Wow, great support, and a 100% improvement in comfort.  Keep waiting my friend, the best is yet to come . . .

Rex, I bought new leader and some new flys and some poppers for my 5 weight, dog gone it, dont want to fall and break anything, hope you are mending, I have to laugh, about 2 years ago I fell through a ceiling and ran a flouresent tube through my right leg below the knee, 23 stitches later i was walking stiff legged, had to go to the creek and fish with ultra light for small mouth, trying to get down the bank caught my stiff right leg still in stitches in a root, and yep face down in 2 feet of water, saved the rod, lost the cell phone, fishing seems to be getting dangerous.
