Just received the additional warm-white 25led bulbs I had ordered and got them all in
![]() Noticed that some of the fixtures are a bit loose even when retesting them with the original incandescents ![]() |

Found out that the motion sensor in the Mr Beams light has a wide flood area and is really sensitive so maybe it's better to remove the batteries during transit to avoid having dead batteries upon arrival.
I can just see it staying on inside the cupboard as our dishes rattle around in their container.... ![]() Forgot to mention that on the Ceiling Light version in my post above, the light colour is warm-white. It would probably make an awesome light for the 18x series clamshell. -T

The Mr. Beams lights, with the photocell and motion sensor, might be just what I was looking for.
I was thinking about how to add a "step light" for those dark nights approaching the pod when there are no lights on. There is plenty of room to mount a light under / behind the entry steps.
Or maybe even a storage compartment light.
Hmmmmm......

UPDATE:
We just received both our 25led warm-white bulb and our 36led white-white bulbs. They fit in the pod fixtures but are a tiny bit fiddly (or maybe our fixture has a loose socket). Not sure if all that movement during transit might loosen one or two of them in the socket. The 36led bulbs don't quite fit that well in the double fixtures. The two bulbs will touch even after being fully inserted and I'm not sure that's a good thing, so we ordered more of the 25led warm white ones for the double fixtures. On a slightly separate note, we've also discovered Mr. Beams brand LED lights. These are really bright and have a plastic lense that magnifies the light. The flood can be a bit shadowy at a distance but it's much much better (and larger in size) than ordinary led puck-lights. Unfortunately Mr. Beams lights seem to be only motion-activated so best for inside the cupboards or in a large rig. |

Keith, I type with 3 thumbs on each hand. I usually notice my typos AFTER I post. I found out that if the AUTHOR of a Post goes to the post and clicks on Post Options, there will be an EDIT option so you can fix your mistakes before anyone sees them - if you're quick!

Read "quiet" instead of quite. Sorry.

I have had quiet time this week in the Pod, and noticed that if I have three of the double lights on, then turn on one of the singles over the table the fan starts in the converter. This tells me that the lights are quite a draw on the DC. Looks like LED bulbs in my future...

So we just bought the same 36-bulb white LEDs as rpodcamper :) Can't wait until they get here!
We also bought another pair in warm white from a different ebay vendor. This one has 25-bulbs instead of the 36-bulbs. Hopefully this should be enough light. As G really detests the blue-white colour of most LEDs, I was thinking of putting a warm white and a cool white in the double fixtures. Hopefully these will arrive by the end of the month. The shipping timetable says it could take up to 4 weeks!

LED lites are sensitive to ambient hi-temps. I wouldn't put an LED lit in the same fixture as an incandescent one. The LED unit was not designed to withstand the much higher temperatures found in an incandescent fixture. I don't think that it would last very long. The LEDs are much more expensive to purchase but last a lot longer (if they are not cooked).
