Where the lid on the front bottom bunk is hinged,from that line straight down the storage compartment is closed of. Open it up and see how much space you will gain. 

On the back wall behind the dinette cushions is a wood panel you can cut 1-2- or 3 doors in to it, storage for maps, owners manuals for your appl. reading material etc. It may not be very much space,but every little bit helps.
