I live in Dallas and thinking about taking my family of 3 to San Antonio Sea World for the weekend. If i tow the TT with my 2008 Highlander, it will cost me about $.15/mile extra for the towing. Which = $86 round trip. Plus RV park fees.

Couldn't I use that money to get a cheap motel room? I know you'll say I could cook my own food to save also but cooking requires work. Towing also has extra wear and tear on the vehicle. What are your thoughts on the economics of camping and driving vs. motels?
