Does anyone have a suggestion as to how one secures the sides of the screen room attachment so that pets cannot get out?

It is supposed to snap onto the R-Pod. But I wouldn't trust its ability to keep cats in. They can crawl under the sides.

thanks , Terry.....my question was how to secure the sides of the screen room...I know that it attaches to the pod. (How else could it be erected?)

Hi Blissful,
We just spent a weekend with two large dogs and used our dome. Most dogs will learn to nose the zipper up and the mesh under the pod, being see though, animals can see where they might prefer to be. I really don't think you could keep in a pet that was determined to get out. One of my son's dogs went through their tent wall...
Best bets might include a harness for cats or small dogs on a long leash or a kennel container . Having said that, remember if your animals are restrained they can't protect themselves from bears, racoons, foxes, coyotes or other dogs. Kitties=lunch.
Good luck.

I agree. An r-dome is not a secure place to keep cats. You simply won't be able to keep cats from wriggling out.
A harness is an excellent idea. Or, how about something like this: http://www.amazon.com/ABO-Gear-Happy-Habitat-Indoor/dp/B002KWHE1E And, of course, pets should never be left alone outside while camping. -edit- Or, how about one of these: http://www.wildwhiskers.com/Feline%20Funhouses.htm |
