Hope that helps.

Assumptions on my part.
113/108L  113 load rate cold? 108 load rate hot? And L is my speed rate (the 75mph)

Now, researching a few places it seems 'D' range tires are either 6 or 8 ply. Even though the tires say 2 nylon & 2 steel plys.  By the PSI rating and speed rating I'm assuming these are actually 8 ply tires..

Ya, we can use a good explanation portion in the Tire Section..

The "D" is the generic load rating, and the ply is what it is rated at, not necessarily the actual number of plies. So if it is 8-ply rated, it might actually have 8 plies, or it might have 4 or 6 that are stronger than the plies used when the rating was originally conceived.

The 113/108 is the load rating. The first number is when it's used in a single axle configuration, and the second number is when it's ina tandem axle configuration.

The L is the speed rating, which is 75 MPH.

A lot of this is explained here: Tire Ratings Explanation

Thank very much! I am feeling better about these tires now. Read a couple horror stories about them, but on larger, heavier TT's.

Just to be clear (and to sound like a complete newbie), this rating is per tire, being double the rate for two tires for total load rating.

I didn't find any info here on the High Point Microwave EC028KD7 in our 2016 Rpod 179.
I have the user manual pdf but couldn't figure out how to upload it here.

Hi All,
I really appreciate the work on getting good info together in the form of a "manual" for the R-Pod.
The lack of info really became apparently to me during the dealer's PDI, when the staff conducting the walk through couldn't explain accurately exactly which power sources (battery, shore AC, LP) power each appliance in my new RP-195. For this reason, I created the matrix below.

I'd appreciate feedback on this matrix to see if it is accurate (and I realize that this may not be entirely accurate for all R-Pods - e.g. Fuse/Breaker IDs might differ, rigs with smaller fridges can also operate from 12VDC battery whereas my larger fridge can't).

Forest River R-Pod 195 Appliance Power Sources
Appliance Battery Shore Power LP Propane Note
Towing Lights/E-Brake No No No Battery power supplied by tow vehicle when connected
Lights Yes (interior Fuse 2, Bath Fuse 4, Exterior Fuse?) No No Main On/Off switch on panel near door (except bathroom). Each light can be turned on/off with light's center switch. All lights indoor and outdoor are LED
Range Hood Fan Yes (Fuse ?) No No On/Off switch on hood
Bathroom Fan Yes (Fuse 4) No No On/Off speed switch on fan in bathoom ceiling
Slideout Motor Yes (Fuse 5) No No In/Out switch on panel near door.
Awning Motor Yes (Fuse 6) No No In/Out switch on panel near door.
Tongue Lift Motor Yes (Fuse ?) No No On/Off switch on top of Tongue Lift
Water Pump Yes (Fuse 3) No No On/Off switch on panel near door.
TV Yes (Fuse 4?) No No On/Off switch on TV and via Remote.
Digital TV Antenna Yes (Fuse 4?) No No On/off button on antenna connector panel near TV
Radio/Audio Center Yes (Fuse 4) No No On/Off switch on Radio and via Remote. AM Radio interference from charger/inverter/converter
USB Power Outlets Yes? (Fuse ?) No? No LEDs near USB jacks show presence of power.
AC Outlets Yes (inverter on) Yes (Breaker 5) No Inverter On/Off button near Right side bed. Uses Shore power when present, otherwise Battery Inverter limited to 1000W total
Hot Water Heater (LP ignite only - Fuse 3) Yes (Breaker 3) Yes LP On/Off switch at panel near door. Shore power switch inside external Hot Water Heater Hatch. Can be powered by both Shore AC & Propane at same time.
Refridgerator (LP ignite only, Fuse 3) Yes (Breaker 5) Yes On/Off & Source Selector at top of fridge with freezer door open.
Furnace (LP ignite only - Fuse 1) No Yes Uses thermostat near bathroom door.
Range No No Yes No igniter (manual light only)
Air Conditioner (Thermostat only?, Fuse 2?) Yes (Breaker 2) No Uses thermostat near bathroom door.
Convection/Microwave No Yes (Breaker 4) No Controls on oven's front panel
Battery Charger N/A Yes (Converter. Breaker 6) No Also charges from Solar (if panels installed) and tow vehicle when connected

Happy Podding,

On our 177 the 110 (shore power) will run the following:  lights, fantastic fan, slide out motor, water pump, furnace (runs the fan motor).  Realize our 177 is now 10 years old but will be interesting to hear others comments on this.

The rest looks correct to me even though I am missing a lot of 'extras' that you have as standard equipment on your 195.  I do not have the following that you list: range hood fan, awning motor, tongue lift motor, television, television antenna, radio/audio center, range, microwave/convection oven or air conditioner.

Wow, when I see all those extras that are missing on my 177 I am beginning to realize maybe this is why I have never had any problems (except for changing out my 10 year old refrigerator a month ago) since purchasing our R-Pod back in January 2011

Do the televisions in the new rpods really run on 12V now? If so all I can say is it’s about time FR figured that one out,

My 2021 Rpod196 has a 12 volt TV but it would have been nice to have a built-in DVD player. I bought a MyDash cd/dvd/radio unit that works.

Hi.  We recently purchased a 2015 179 and I am wondering if you are willing to share some expertise on her.  Such as, can you run the rpod heater from a battery or shore power or only propane?  We have been trying to figure that out and have read many different configurations.  We have just been using an electric plugged in heater but also have not camped yet.

Also, does the water pump run on 12v and shore power?  I hope so...

Any other items you have discovered with the 2015 will be appreciated as well.
