Topic: Ordered our 176T yesterday Posted: 20 Mar 2011 at 4:40pm |
Hi, we ordered our first new r-pod yesterday, a 176T!! We had gone to look at a pre- owned, but decided to take the plunge and get the one that will really suit our family for a while- we'll have our 2 or 3 youngest with us, so the bunks and extra beds are a must. We also ordered the dome, we figured it will be well worth having the extra space under cover. Our trailer will be with us in 3-8 weeks, just in time for decent weather (we live in east-central Wisconsin). We are upgrading from a larger, older pop-op that is cumbersome and difficult for me to handle on my own. We are a homeschool family and I love that I'll be able to take the van, camper and kids out on a field trip without having to co-ordinate with hubby's days off!! I had intended to find a vintage camper and redo it, but I want to be able to do much more camping this year....that project can wait a while.
So glad to find this forum, I've enjoyed looking at some of the creative mods and such.

Welcome! You will find that you will enjoy the r-pod for easy setups.
I have had a few Vintage Trailers that I have worked on but have never completed one fully yet. Either something comes in the way or an offer comes that I can not turn down. I know that I will get one and actually finish it one day.

Welcome, I considered restoring our vintage trailer, opted to get an R Pod so I could camp instead of work.
Enjoy

Yes, enjoy your new pod. We spend our weekends in July and August in southeastern Wisconsin. You'll have lots of wonderful adventures.
