My slide out was working intermittently. I have an Rpod-179 with a Lippert Dual Motor Synchronous Velocity Slide Controller. Last week, I was having trouble getting the slide to extend and then retract. When this happened, the controller indicator panel began flashing. There would be one green blink followed by 4 red blinks and then the sequence repeated itself. According to the panel, 4 blinking reds indicate "High Battery". The pod was plugged into shore power at this time since I was getting ready to take the unit out for a fishing trip.
Upon checking, I found that my battery was not holding a charge (it was old). I replaced the battery, and the problem seemed to go away. I'm wondering if the "High Battery" indicator and the slide not working was due to the fact that the trailer was trying to charge the battery but couldn't and the controller was doing its job protecting the motors. Your thoughts? I'm hoping that I have solved the problems by replacing the battery and have saved myself the trouble and cost of taking the Rpod in for diagnosis and unneeded repair. Thanks
