We have late 2019 early 2020 R-pod 195.  This year we noticed a couple of splits in the roofing material and I noticed that the roofing material appear to be coming loose along one side.

We took the camper to our local repair place (who is not a Forest River dealer) in preparation for the upcoming camping season.  They reported that the entire roof appeared to be shrinking and while the caulked roof would last a year or two, we should consider replacing the entire roof (time frame not specified).

I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this issue?  It seems to be rather unusual for a 5 year old R-Pod.

You might check with Forest River. If it is the newer style roof, I think it did have a multi-year warranty, but my memory might be faulty. However, in getting it caulked by a non-FR dealer, that might be a moot point. Still, it wouldn't hurt to check.

I kind of doubt that the roof is shrinking, but that something else might be going on underneath to cause the frame/structure to spread. Could be that water got in and caused some of the wood structure to swell, or that something else is happening to cause the walls to bow out.

That's pure speculation, but it's where my mind is leading me.

Forest River has told me that this camper has a rubber roof and the rubber roof has a 15 year warranty.  So, the camper is going to an authorized service center tomorrow.

Thanks you, Stephen for the tip.
