As a new-guy, I have several stupid questions, like this one:
When my 180 is connected to shorepower, is my battery being charged, or do I need to connect it to a solar panelšŸ¤”
More stupid questions to come. Stay tuned......

Your battery is normally being charged when you're plugged into a AC power source.  There a converter in the power panel that's connected to the 12vdc system for charging purposes.  You'll hear a cooling fan turn off and on from time to time when you're connected to AC power.  The charging rate varies depending on battery demand.  When nothing is in use the batteries. except the always running stuff like the LP detector, they get a trickle charge.

Hey Bowcat66, welcome to your 24/7 owners manual where, in my many years on this forum have never come across a stupid question, and yours do not qualify either!  +1 to LA's response.

IF you decide to let your 180 set awhile unplugged or not hooked to solar for more than a few days it is a good idea to set your battery switch to off, if you don't have one like me, then simply unhook the cable going to your (-) ground on the battery.

Glad to have you aboard.
