Does anyone have experience using Simple Green to clean their camper? A RV shop recommended it for cleaning our camper. I need to clean the roof haven't cleaned it in over a year and it's gotten very dirty. I want to give a good cleaning then inspect the sealent for any cracks and reseal if needed.

I have used the product in the past however since it has been a year and you state the "roof is very dirty" it would be prudent IMHO to be more agressive.  Most likely you will have some oxidation that has taken place over the year so a product like Meguiar's Oxidation Remover (blue bottle) will give you excellent results.  It is an oxidation remover as well as a heavy duty cleaner.  After that if you want to go all out, try using a clay bar over your rpod as well (skip this process on your decals) as it will remove any impurities on the surface and leave a 'baby butt smooth' finish when you are finished.  After that use the polish of your choice for the final product.

+1 to jato's recommendation of Meguiar's cleaning products.  They work very well.  If you don't want to use that brand, any marine supply house will have a large selection of other fiberglass/gelcoat cleaners that will also work well.

I just ordered a bottle of Meguiars Oxi Remover.  Never used it before but the old pod needs a cleaning.  So just squirt it on a rag/brush and scrub on correct; or any other tricks of the trade!!??  Jon

How about oil spots on the front of camper from I guess being behind large trucks that have oil coming from their engines? I agree I need something more aggresive than Simple Green I am 68 years old it's a lot of scrubbing I am getting wore out Ouch. I am using caution it's not the safest thing to do the fiberglass is slippery if the detergent isn't rinsed well. I think I will do what I can with the Simple Green then use something better like a Meguiars product.

When we used this on our 179, we tried it by hand first and didn't like the results. The surface showed swirl marks and was uneven. We re-applied a second time using a Harbor Freight buffer and it came out much more even. Finished off with Meguiars Mirror Glaze and the Rpod was shiner than it was new.

Do not apply the Oxi remover in direct sunlight and don't allow it dry. You should be good.

+1  Sorry I didn't mention that in the above post although I believe that those instructions are included on the bottle: don't apply in direct sun.

I finished cleaning the roof except for a few oil spots. Simple Green works OK I mixed another bottle making a stronger solution and that cleaned better. I bought at Lowes a gallon of concentrate Simple Green and it came with a spray bottle pre mixed which I think wasn't mixed very strong. I would buy it again but l would not recommend it for oil spots. When I am finished washing the entire camper I will wash it again with RV Wash and Wax that's something I recommend I have used that for years washing our campers, trucks and cars.

Those stubborn oil spots will come out with a clay bar.  Takes a little time but mixed with some patience you will have success.
