I just pulled my 2016 172 out of winter storage and will commence dewinterization. Always in the past I have filled the water tank, added chlorine, then flushed the tank a few times to get rid of the chlorine taste. I would love to know if there is an easier way to get rid of the chlorine. I have heard vitamin C will do the trick but I'm not sure how to add the C. Is there a product that will neutralize the chlorine?
Thanks as always

Some baking soda also seems to help. Dissolve some in water and add it to the tank.

Easy enough. Baking soda is good for so many things.
Thanks

Just curious, does anyone use Star Brite Aqua rather than bleach? It seems much easier, but is it as effective?

I had assumed that draining the tank and letting it sit for a few days to a week would allow the chlorine to evaporate, and then refill the tank before your next outing.
I know when I folks had an aquarium they'd have water sitting on the kitchen counter for a couple of days to get the chlorine out before putting it in the aquarium. Same idea a that. |

I use a mixture of 1 quart white vinegar and 8 oz. baking soda and put 10 gallons in the fw tank. Run each line until you can smell the vinegar and let sit overnight. Run each line for a minute or two and then drain fw tank, fill next with fresh water of your choice.
