We have been greatly blessed as a nation thanks to the foresight of the founding fathers. I pray we can return to those days of limited government and allowing the citizenry to have the rights and moral fiber as they once did. History shows that as government has more and more power at the expense of its citizens; corruption, violence, and the breakdown of the family unit will inevitably result. Yes, may we give thanks today (and every day) for our manifold blessings that we still have.

I don't want to get political, but I pray for honest and ethical government in which equality before the law, respect for the rule of law, and the principle of "one person, one vote" for each and every citizen in our representative democracy be protected and preserved.
