I recently purchased a used R-POD 189 (2019) that has one factory installed flexible solar panel on the roof. Does anyone know the specs for the panels installed by R-POD or know the part number? The manual provided on the Forest River website does not provide any specifics. Thank you in advance. Respectfully, Hank

All I could find indicates that the factory instally solar option includes a 110 watt solar module, a charge controller, and an inverter. Do you have the latter two devices as well as the solar module on the roof?
A typical 110 watt module used for charging 12V batteries will have a max (open circuit) voltage of about 18Vdc and full direct sun max current around 7 amps. If you have a multimeter you can directly confirm what your module is able to do. Get a multimeter with clamp on DC current measurement capability, it will come in very handy for many uses in your travel toolkit. |
