Have owned lots of RV's over the years, but this is the first one (2019 189) to not have some type of range hood vent or fan over the cooktop .................. what's with that ?  Has anyone installed a ductless range hood (probably not enough room in a 189 with window right there) or ??

Not having vent hood keeps the weight and cost down. I never felt the need for one, just opened a window a little.

Not sure a ductless one would do what you want since you would still be recirculating air in a small enclosed space. Might be better to put a small through the wall exhaust fan in to pull the air out of the trailer. If you try it let us know how it works out.

We ordered our 177 w/o A/C eleven years ago and had the factory install a crank open vent in its place, looks similar to the FF in the bathroom without the fan.  By simply opening that and as OG above suggested open another window there is plenty of air flow or there have been times if it is raining we just run the FF and that will suck out fumes or whatever is coming off the stove outside with another window open.
