It's not usually that cloudy and rainy in the Blue Ridge area. Unless you are dealing with all the rain from a string of tropical systems as we have been lately.
It's been a wet summer.

The recurring statement from there was they were in a drought... You could see signs of it, yet we saw rain on a daily basis in the afternoon.

Well, then came TS Fred and we saw a lot of rain!!!

Hmm. And then there was Ida.

No drought all year in my area (Fancy Gap/ Hillsville). We've had to cut the grass at least once a week since spring, usually we can get by with every 2 weeks by this point unless we get the hurricane remnants.
