This is only our 3rd trip out in our R-pod so what we’re noticing could be normal. Today is the first time we are using battery only with no shore power. Our lights work, fan works but our outlets don’t work. Is it normal for outlets not to work on battery?
We added another battery today and charged them with the solar panel. We wired the 2 batteries in parallel. Could we have done something wrong? I think the lights wouldn’t work if something was wrong with the wiring. I’ve checked breakers and fuses (all looks normal and functioning). I’m perplexed and don’t know enough about the R-Pod electrical system to logically solve this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Darla

No. You did nothing wrong. Few, if any R-Pods, have inverters, so there is no AC power available unless it is plugged in.

Thanks. I thought we had an inverter but it makes complete sense if we don’t.

if you have a need for 110, a generator is an easy solution.  Like to run a coffee maker, or add a charge to the batteries.  Remember this is Camping, not Glamping.

Thanks. We’ve got the generator. I made sure we have a hand coffee grinder. Everything else is fluff😆

Amen!

I use a pour over coffee maker, but I have to roast and grind enough beans for the trip beforehand.
