Better check the birth certificate.  Goodyear manufactures tires in China too.  That doesn't make them bad.

Goodyear's are not bulletproof.  Friends we know had a set of the gye and within 6 months had a blowout and a ruined fender, hmmm.  No different then what happens with the originals.

What I don't hear about or read is when this happens no one says anything about what the tire pressure was on the day the event happened.  This is an oversight that should be avoided.  Takes all of a minute to check both tires when cold before travel.  Many of these (but not all) blowout events could probably be avoided if pressure was checked on a regular basis.

+1. Get ST tires with a conbined load rating substantially higher than the axle rating and keep them inflated to their rated pressure when cold. There is no benefit to running underinflated trailer tires. Brand choice is a personal decision.

Also not a bad idea to get a tire monitoring system.  Bought mine for about $70.  It will warn you of a slow leak, fast leak, and overheating.  I could even tell there was an issue with my brakes based on temp readings.  A blow out on a single axle is really dangerous

I got this one:

I'm sure there are more expensive ones but this one seems to work for me......screen is a bit hard to read when the sun is behind you.

Thanks for the advice folks...Factory tires are supposedly nitrogen filled, as if a green valve cover cap will guarantee that...will keep a close eye on, and check the manufacture date next trip out.

Good luck with your future trips!

Had zero balance on my O'Stock card, so ordered up a 6" memory foam mattress & sheet set...FIVE TO SEVEN week delivery on the mattress...really??? If it's 'OVERSTOCK', shouldn't they HAVE it in stock? LOL Anyways - you purchased a 2021...did you get lucky, or was it 'on-order' forever?  I've searched since snagging mine and they seem quite scarce.  The few that are still on dealer lots within a 250 mile radius of me are at or extremely close to MSRP.

I bought this one, which has a nice big screen so I can check pressure and temperature at a quick glance.

Another reason I bought it was that it has a repeater available in case there were range issues, especially with the spare, which there haven't been thus far.
