I have a 2014 182g and i am trying to hook up a single battery. On the side of the tongue is a sticker that says black positive and white negative. There are only two wires. One white and one red. When i hook up the red to the positive and the white to the negative, sparks fly. Following the white wire it is connected to the frame, so that must be a ground wire. Can't find any other wire. Thanks for any help.

Hook up your red (+) wire first and then your white (-) second.  The reason you see a few sparks fly is likely a draw is occuring (CO detector, mother board for fridge, loading the electronics for you entertainment system).  Hook up and tighten with a wrench.

If you fear something happened after hooking up battery go inside to where your converter box is.  On the left side are your breakers for 120 shore power.  On the right are your fuses for 12v - if you see a light on by one of the fuses it will have to be replaced.  Good idea to keep spare fuses: 5, 10, 15, 20, and 40 amp fuses are a good thing "just in case" and also good to help other campers out if and when they have 'issues.'

Thanks Jato, Its hooked up now and I checked the fuses and converter. Everything works when I am hooked up to shore power, the battery reads at 13 on the volt meter. When I unplug it from shore power nothing (lights) runs? Any ideas? Thank you

You sure there is not a cutoff switch between the battery and the fuse box. Most of us have added one to keep the vampires from sucking the battery down.
