They bought out BoondockersWelcome also. I am (or was) a member of BW, as a host, but the rules and regs were getting to be an issue, and I did have some guests that I would prefer not come back.

So I have de-activated my host location there.

But, if any r-pod peeps need a place to stay for a night or two in the Texas Panhandle, just holler! I have 30 amp shore power and water.

Just checked and it looks like it went up to $99 I think they were running a special when i got mine and it was $67 but I think it was regularly $79.  We are just evaluating to see if is worth it because you really need to use it to get any value.  We stayed twice so I think we would need to use it 4 or 5 times for it to pay off.  You do get to stay at some unique venues but you are essentially boondocking.

We stayed at 2 Harvest Hosts places on our trip to Maine.  The first was in Southington,Conneticut.  It was a decent place to park.  HH ask that you spend $20 at the establishments.  We went to a Mexican restaurant that was really good so you do get something for your $20.  Second stop was in Boothbay, Maine and we stayed at brewery so it was easy to spend $20 on beer.  Boothbay was really charming town and the brewery was great they even let us use a 15amp outlet.  There is a fee to join HH but I think if you use it then it will pay for itself.
