Yup, tgats what I meant. Spell-checker is a %(^ch some times. I meter my usage and the Frig is the main usage. It surprised me as too how little they actually do use. Now be it know, this is a dedicated 12v Frig I use.

Just for clarity, the applicable units we need to look at are amphours per day. I'm sure tgats what you meant Olddawgsrule.
Amps are instantaneous current which should be around 6 amps for the Danfoss compressor when it's running. So say you're using 24 amphours per day that would be an average of 1 amp. With a 6 amp operating current that would be a duty cycle on the compressor of about 1/6 = 17%. So if you want to get the amphours per day but don't have an amphour meter installed you could just use a timer to get your duty cycle. The duty cycle is the on time divided by the total cycle time (time between one turn on and the next). You would need to time 2-3 cycles to be sure things were stabilized. |

II tend to camp out if the heat, so my highest readings are 22amps for the day (24hrs). Mine's a 58qt. I'm still running my 60ah Li..

We stayed out at Horse Thief BLM right between Aches and Canyonlands NP's. Did you run along Potash Road? One of those 'don't miss roads'!
Now in the Overlander, We will return and run down in the Canyon into Canyonlands NP. That area could take a year to explore! What an amazing place!

Just as a swag based on experience with Danfoss vaccine fridges in the past I'll guess about 75-100 amp hours per day for maintenance in hot weather. Bet you'll want to add a second Li battery pretty soon....

For the LiFePO4 battery, I did install a meter that tracks amps in and out. Initial testing is very positive and parallels my experience with the FPSC cooler. Heavier draw while actively cooling, minimal draw when idling. In some ways, it seems to draw less than the FPSC cooler because in that, the fan was running constantly. This one seems to be more like a house refrigerator in that the compressor shuts off when it is not needed.

I'm curious how much energy your new fridge will use. A duty cycle on the Secop compressor in hot conditions so we can calculate amp hours would be very interesting, if you don't have an amp hour meter installed already.

The CRX-1110 arrived and is installed except for a few finishing touches. I will do a write-up in my mods shortly.

Well, we finally got home. We arrived at our older daughter's house without further incident. We had an enjoyable time there. When it came time to leave, we decided to visit one more national park on our way home. We chose Arches National Park. As with Bryce Canyon, we dropped the RPod at the visitor center parking lot for the drive into the park. I'm glad we did as the road had enough climbs and switchbacks that it was good to not be towing it.
Each park we visited seemed to be more spectacular than the last. There were plenty of "Oh Wow!" moments as we rounded various curves and saw things that were even more majestic than the last. We only drove to the Delicate Arch as we wanted to be able to find a place for the night and it was already getting late. The campground in the park was full (as could be expected). Arches is a dark place so it would have been great to be there at night with a telescope. The Access Pass (or Golden Age Pass, etc.) is great. It not only got us into the parks free, but it gave us a 50% discount on our camping. I recommend looking into these passes if you are eligible. While we were at our older daughter's house, I did place an order for the Dometic CRX-1110E/F which I mentioned in my previous post. It will be delivered tomorrow. I have removed the old refrigerator in preparation for installing the new one. Since I will be using it this weekend, it will provide a good test of its functionality. I will report on it in my mods once it is installed and I can evaluate it for functionality and energy efficiency.
