Might someone post the details of the Gettysburg rally on here for those of us not on FB? I'd sure appreciate it.

Love that idea.  We have pool noodles left over from a six-pack we ordered so as to protect my head from the awning supports.

+1 Pete. There is a lot of chatter online regarding the pocket door needing extra support while on the road. The idea we like the best is a colourful pool noodle trimmed to fit. So we are bringing home an old one we have at our cottage as it is at the end of its useful life. Bright colour means less chance of me forgetting it. May have to install a "Install PRIOR to flight" flag on it! Then it goes onto the permanent pre-departure checklist.

Finally!  Someone else who had that problem with the pocket door.  We had to have it rejiggered this off season, and will now travel with towels (or some such thing) stuffed between the floor and the bottom of the door to support it.

Our first camper as well. I camped as a kid, my wife had never camped. We had discussed getting a camper off an on for about three years. Then decided, during the middle of COVID no less, to move forward. It's good that you have your son-in-law to help with what to get, and not get.

The R-pod rally in Gettysburg is on the R-Pod owners facebook page, under events. It's the Pod-toberfest rally. Hopefully that helps. I'm not on facebook, but my wife is, and this is what she has told me. Hopefully you can find it?

This is our first trailer. We always camped with tents in the past with the kids but too old for that!😂 Would love to know what kinds of things you or others added as I am sure we are missing something. Our son in law has helped us with picking out hoses, electrical stuff, etc based on their experience. They have a huge camper! Where can I find info on the rally in Gettysburg? That sounds like fun!

That's not too bad, took much longer for ours. Maybe the market is settling down some?

Like you, we had our dining room full of stuff we ordered for the pod. At least it gave us time to do plenty of research, and time to get just about all of it correct the first time. This forum helped greatly with that.

You may want to consider some of the Pod rallies, good people and good fun. There is one in Gettysburg in October.
