Looking for suggestions for adding an awning to our 2014 RPod 177.
Has anyone used a Thule product?
Any others to recommend?
Any advice appreciated.

The Thule awning will require reinforcement where it attaches to the side of the Rpod. If your Rpod was not built with the reinforcement, then it will not be an option. There are various options if you utilize the keder rail that runs along the roof.

I built up a DIY solution...not expensive at all, and very light weight. It kinda depends on what you want.

I used a small shade sail and some poles and a few other bits of hardware and cobbled up a decent awning.

We did the same thing-used an 8"x12" poly tarp and sewed keder tape to the edge.  We used 3 outside edge poles and a center horizontal pole as a ridge.  It works great for shade and rain cover.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I have an older 179 that I would love to put a retractable awning on, but the trailer wasn't built to support one back then. Will be watching this post to see if anyone has other suggestions.
