Hello,
I purchased a used 2017 Rpod 179 in last May (2020), and had many great camping adventures before putting it in storage for the winter (I live in upstate NY).

My only major issue with the trailer is the water leak I have, and I can not figure out how the water is getting in. When it rains and the trailer is just sitting, there's no leaking, it's only when I've been camping and after traveling back home, I find a puddle of water on top of the stove, it appears to be coming from the light directly above the stove. The cover has water in it when I remove it.
I checked the seams on the roof, all seems ok, but I plan on resealing everything in the Spring when I get it back. Is there anything more I should do, I'm concerned that there's water pooling somewhere and possibly causing some damage, but how do I tell?
Thanks,
Vicki

I'd start with opening access points and checking for water, then check underside for any sign of wet. Because it is a 179, chances could be you have a spoiler leak. I discovered a spoiler issue with my 178 when rear of floor from the underside was wet. The top side was dry. I sealed spoiler with eternabond tape and issue was solved. The first step to troubleshooting is physical inspection. Good luck.

Thank you Mike.
I did inspect the spoiler, but I will take another look when I get the trailer back in the spring. I'll apply the eternabond tape as well.

If you have an undetermined water leak you should not let it sit in outside storage over the winter without finding and fixing it. The water damage could be severe by Spring, to the point where the trailer can no longer be fixed. Do yourself a favor and either find inside storage for the winter or fix it now.

there have been several excellent posts about applying Eternabond tape to the spoiler. I followed the directions and felt like it was very well explained and the final product seems to be totally waterproof.  I feel certain that the spoiler will not leak now.
