Haven't a clue if I am posting right, being my first post, but Barbara and I are actively looking for a new or very late model 196 kind of Pod so we can be Poddies. Never thought I'd be saying something like that but...

Good luck.
You know they are made on Oregon? We toured the factory there and it was very interesting. you should watch them make the pods.
Try posting also on the Camper's Flea Market  down at the bottom of the opening page of the forum.

Roger, thanks for the comeback. I tried to find out where the factory is. Coos Bay? But no contact info on the website that I can find without my 14 year old granddaughter to help me. Would go there next week if i could find out where.

If you are going new you might want to get on the list as soon as possible. We placed an order for 196 the first of September, and as of right now it is not even scheduled for production. Which means that we may still be a couple months, or more, away from receiving ours. There are none on dealer lots, and what is currently on order has been sold.

Good luck! And if you find one, don't think about too long!

Look around and come up with a number for the plant. I had it somewhere, but can't find it now. You could schedule a tour before Covid, not so sure now.  It is worthwhile if you can get a tour set up.  Will keep looking for contact info.

As far as looking for a very late model 196, they only began making that model in 2019, sold as a 2020. So probably few to find used.

We are in the process of getting an R-pod 196 from a dealer in Utah. It was supposed to be ready in early October, but we are now hoping to get it before Thanksgiving. We looked it up on RV-trader and then began calling dealers near us to see what they have on order. You will probably have to put a deposit down on one to secure it when it arrives. I have seen several that are expected in January if you can wait that long.  Call several dealers to see what their best price is as well.
