Hey, Pod People:

Quick question:  We've got a very short cold snap coming.  Looks like two sub-freezing nights but the coldest daytime high will be 54, then it jumps up quite a bit.  The trailer gets early sun where it's parked.  I'm hoping I don't need to winterize to avoid damage to the water pump or lines.  What say you?

Thanks.

Scott

No, you should be ok, one area to watch would be the outside shower. I take it you do not have a heat source where it is parked. A small heater does wonders on cold snaps.

If you are not using the trailer(it is in temporary storage) then you can also drain the fresh water tank and then turn on the pump until it pumps only air.  The line will be clear of water. you can easily drain the whole system and have no worries. There would be plenty of expansion room for any small amounts of water left in the pipes/fittings until you can permanently winterize

Thanks for the replies, folks.  No outside shower, so that's no worry.  Good idea re. basic drain and pump, which I may do.
