I'm lazy, so I left the jack under the axle. It couldn't possible weigh much though.

I got my 'pod high enough that I was able to leave the wheels on - but I also had to use a heavy-duty floor jack to raise/lower the axle since it was still heavy with the wheels in place. I assume w/o the wheels you could handle the axle by hand?

Right on Jay, installing the risers was the easy part. A mistake I made was that I looked under the Pod and decided that there was enough room for me to work on the risers without removing the tires (trying to save myself some work...LOL). Only problem was that after unbolting the axle, and with the tires still on, I couldn't lower the axle enough to install the risers. After lowering the Pod again to break the 120 lb tourqued wheel lugs, raised the Pod again, removed the tires.............the rest was a piece of cake.
The risers are well worth the effort, should be standard on the trailer.

When I ordered mine 2 weeks ago FR charged me $50 dollars + shipping, they took about 10 days to arrive, but I finally got a chance to install them last night. I think it took longer to move it to the driveway and get it on 4 jackstands then it did to actually install them. Much nicer not having to worry (as much ) about bottoming out and ripping something off.

We jacked up the frame just behind the axle, then put jack stands just behind the jack, on both sides. It was hooked up to my TV the whole time so it had support up front. In hindsight I should have put jack stands in front of the axle too, that's a lot of weight to suspend from hitch ball to rear jack stands.

The instructions that came with the risers said to jack up the frame and place the axle stands under the frame. Is this what you did or did you jack up the axle till it was about 4 inches off the ground, place the stands under the frame and then lower the axle enought to install the risers? Also a good point about the brake wires.
Thanks

I finally got around to installing mine today, wasn't as hard as I expected. It was nice pulling into my driveway tonight and not scraping in the usual spots.

I've had mine for months now, still sitting in the box! Hope to get to it when it warms up some.

You will find it tows so much nicer with them on. Lot less worry about bottoming out.
