Has anyone made and installed folding shelves for a 177 to expand the kitchen counter?  If so, how?

Also, who has removed the glass top on the cooktop?  Have you just left it off or made/bought another type of removable cover?

The cooktop cover, when open, eliminates a lot of usable space on the counter.

marwayne has posted some nice fotos of his folding counter extensions.  We put an extension in our 172 using a cutting board and folding hinges that extended over the dinette.  If you put a folding counter extension, be sure to reinforce the cabinet where it attaches.

Camco makes a countertop extension that drops down when not needed. Maybe one of those would work for you.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Yeah, that is indeed the issue with our 177.  Clam?

Instant up screen room.. takes about 1 minute to deploy.

(taken at the 2017 ERU in Kentucky.. I had just cooked in it, I think this was dog night.. during the day my wife had taught a basket weaving class to several podders)
