Our new-to-us 177 does not have a sink in the wet bath, so I'm thinking of adding one.  I know a popular mod is taking out the sink, so I have questions...

-why do some folks take out their sinks?
-if the wet bath never had a sink, is it possible to install one?
-where could I buy parts if I decide to install a sink?

Thanks for your help!

One more question - how do you wash your hands without a sink??  We're new to RVing, so still wrapping our heads around everything!

Same way I do when using a pit toilet @ Assateague Island National Park or the port-a-potties we used @ Woodstock...oh wait.  Hand Sanitizer and/or any running water available. No big deal.

We removed ours and glad we did. It was really tough for both of us to squeeze into the shower...together. Confused

If you were close by, I would happily give it to you.

I would look in the area that you can see in his photo that the sink used to be, and see if you can see any sign of a repair. If so, it used to have a sink, and the plumbing should be capped off behind it.

We have a sink and wish we didn't-not enough room in the shower with one.
We wash our hands and brush our teeth in the kitchen sink.
I would think you will have a hard time adding a sink due to fact that the plumbing lines(both water supply and drain) not being in the wall of the bath.  also, as seen in the pictures above, the sink has a large flange that fits behind both side walls -so you would have to take both complete  walls out, cut the openings, install the sink in the cutouts and then replace the walls.
just my thoughts-if you do it, take pictures and post them

I might well be wrong butfrom the floorplans I looked at it doesn't look like the 177 got a sink until  2014. So I agree earlier ones would be difficult to retrofit with one as there is no plumbing there to connect to. If you have a later one where the sink ha been removed then putting it back would probably be easier.

I haven't bothered to remove my sink as its not in our way, but we don't use in much. Easier to wash and brush in the kitchen sink.
