I'm sorry, the Mother Ship (Forest River) called and they cannot allow you to sell off your pod.

They indicated you can feel free to make other plans and let us know how that goes.

Hi Muffy, I am wondering if you've looked at the 195 / 196 floorplan. It's just a little bigger than the 179. It's basically a 179 with more options. It's very close to the same price point. It has a bigger fridge, a dry bath, more storage, and the bed is north and south instead of east and west (no midnight climb overs). It's about 600 pounds heavier, but your tow vehicle will handle that easily. Good luck with whatever model you choose, they are all good in their own way.

Do check out the 195/6.  My SO put an immediate kibosh on the 179 due to the wet bath and climb-over bed, so we snagged a Hood River Edition 195.  We love it and think that it's the perfect unit for a couple.  We have the solar option and the outside "stove".

Howard RV Center in Wilmington is the closest RPod dealer near you. However, they do not have any 179s in stock right now that you could look at. They have the following models listed as "available" in stock: 171, 189, and 190. There are a couple of 180s listed as "sale pending." However, if you are set on a 179, I'm sure they can order one for you.

From 2016 on the Tundra has a built brake controller.
If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Yeah you're good.

Reason I asked is sometimes we have a newbie come in and want us to 'sign-off' on them pulling an r-pod with a mini-cooper or something...

Of course I wont do that!

If memory serves the Tundras have a V8 engine, available or standard, I dont keep up but I'm sure you are gonna be OK with the Tundra.

ET phone home.....

What I realized is that we always go to the mountains to camp anyway, so now that we live here there's not a lot of motivation to go somewhere else camping. Besides,  I gotta get some $$ from somewhere for a tractor, I'll have about 15 acres of pasture to mow.. That' ain't gonna get done on a riding mower.....

I appreciate the Howard’s RV suggestion and the suggestion to look at those other models. Ideally, we would love to buy one used as we won’t be using it all that much. Thanks for all the suggestions and keep em coming. My husbands truck is a 2019. I want to put it to some good use.
