I really think I will enjoy my R Pod and have only had it a couple of months. The one small issue that stands out to me is dealing with how to make up the front bed surrounded by 3 plus walls.

Has anyone figured out an easy way to make up the bed where the sheets will stay and can be remade the next morning? My wife kinda likes things orderly.

We have a 4 inch topper and considered just putting the sheets and spread on the topper only.
Please give me your thoughts, but the topper is a little flimsy. Thank you

I find a fitted sheet and duvet with cover to be the best option. I first saw one of these on an overnight train in Europe and really loved it. Yes, the fitted sheet is a bit tough but you won;t have to do that every say.  A duvet, in case you don't know is like a giant pillow case that holds a comforter (I make them by sewing together sheets but you can buy them too).  Its easily removed and washed like a sheet. For daily bed making you just sort of lift and toss so it lays out flat.

There are elastic bands with clamps on each end that can help keep sheets in place. I use them on the mattress in our 179 to keep the mattress cover in place, then I put the sheets on. My wife converted a flat sheet into one with elastic at the foot end. That really simplifies making the bed, even though with the 179's east-west bed, it isn't easy, just less hard.

My wife sewed the top sheet to the fitted bottom sheet at the base, keeps them together.  Having everything tucked in against the wall at the foot end, it seems to stay in place overnight.  I have timed myself and it takes anywhere from 2 -3 minutes to make the bed and that is with the comforter on top.  My mama did this when I was young and I still do it, flip a quarter on top and make sure it flips over - if so - success.  If not, start over.

We found that a fitted bottom sheet sewed to the top sheet at the foot was the best answer. fitted sheets are available on the internet-check your size-ours is a" RV Queen" which is smaller than a standard queen, but still available on line

We tried everything imaginable to make this bed!  It is quite impossible to do without taking a nap before and after!Tongue

Actually, we ended up purchasing a piece of memory foam the size of the bed, then we purchased two twin lightweight  bamboo mattresses  to lay on top of the foam.  That pretty much solved our problem because you can lift the front mattress, fit the sheet, lie it down and raise the rear mattress, tuck the corners then replace it and your bed is made.  Very comfortable and a perfect solution.

This also aids in winterizing your R-Pod.  No more wrestling with that full size mattress.
